Thank you for looking at magicfizz.com.

We want to thank all our very many friends and colleagues who we have worked with over the years at various companies and through Magicfizz.

In 2015, Jackie my wife and business partner had what we thought at the time was a small stroke from which we expected a full recovery.  Sadly that didn't happen and when Jackie's condition further deteriorated we realised that it was probably something else.

Our world was subsequently turned upside down when we heard those words "We are sorry but you have a disease for which we don't know the cause and for which there is no cure".  Jax had been diagnosed with Multiple Systems Atrophy (MSA).

This is a rare condition which the majority of doctors have never seen; most neuro specialists may see a handful of cases in their entire careers.

We have taken this change as positively as we can; I have 'retired' and am enjoying spending all my time with Jax who is still as mentally astute as ever with a far better memory for people and places than I have ever had.  We travel as much as possible and spend time every month at our home in Devon.

We owe a debt to gratitude however to all the specialist support we continue to receive from so many directions.  In particular St Richard's Hospice in Worcester and the MSA Trust have been spectacular in their constant support and guidance as we move along a journey which is difficult and uncharted for many.

Do keep in touch, the email address and mobile have not changed.

All best,
Ian Pickford
